Definitely more consistently populated than BF1. Battlefield 4 came out in 2013, while Battlefield 1 came out in 2016. Battlefield V came out in 2018, and Battlefield 2042 came out in 2021. Battlefield 2042 does not have a single player mode, while Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V do have a single player mode. Battlefield 1 is set in WW1, while Battlefield V is set in WW2. I recommend watching it. It's not much new in terms of criticism but I enjoy his take nonetheless. For $5 maybe. Don't buy BFV BFV is NOT fucking worth it, dice doesn't even listen to the community anymore. The game is a shit show. Its taken 3 months for dice to revert a change nobody wanted in the first place, they also did the same thing a year before and promised they wouldn't do it again. Right now its on a big discount on Steam. So it is worth the buy or is the game simply unplayable with no hope of recovery? Im also thinking of maybe just buying an EA Play subscription and then trying out both Battlefield 5 and Battlefield 2042 before i purchase any of them. The maps are still pretty weak in some areas. Specialist balance is pretty garbage and something like 60-70% of palyers play the same 5 specialist (there will be 14 total when the final one is released next week or the week after). So 60-70% play the same 5/14 haha. Gun balance is also wonky. On the fly attachments complicated things. I’d recommend picking it up if it’s on sale for $10-$20. If nothing else it’s a good way to become familiar with battlefield mechanics before 2042 drops. (You could do the same with BF1 or 4) If you’re wanting what I believe the next battle field franchise will be like I suggest getting BF4 and all the expansions. l2GJVD.
